And yes, we are always asking the question of how to preserve our food without losing its flavors? The vacuum machine is the number 1 solution. Gone are the days of heat-sealed bags that were once used to preserve our food. The era is now for the vacuum packaging machine, renowned for its countless benefits in food preservation. Sophie from the site machine-sous-vide.xyz granted us an interview to talk a bit more about this vacuum device and its advantages.
Sophie, where does the inspiration for the site machine-sous-vide.xyz come from?
I spend 50% of my time in the kitchen either whipping up a little dish or doing household chores (dishes). One of the recurring questions I have always asked myself is how to preserve staple foods. But the use of a vacuum machine quickly put an end to these daily concerns. Indeed, this packaging machine allowed me to vacuum seal food to preserve, protect, and keep it longer. I then created the site machine-sous-vide.xyz along with my YouTube channel (coming soon) to share my experiences, but mainly so that everyone can benefit from this essential device in the culinary world.

The advantages of using a vacuum machine
One of the benefits of this vacuum machine is that it proves useful in food packaging. Indeed, vacuum-sealed food has a longer shelf life compared to storage under normal conditions. Specifically, vacuum sealing prevents air and microorganisms from harming the preserved food. This halts any fermentation process that deteriorates and contaminates the food.
Cooking food sous vide (“sous vide cooking method”) helps maintain the succulent appearance of the food. Moreover, thanks to sous vide cooking, which is done slowly and at low temperatures, dishes are more tender and flavorful. Additionally, vacuum-sealed food is easier to transport. Vacuum sealing prevents the spread of odors and blood leaks for bleeding foods (rare meat), for example. Vacuum sealing food thus helps avoid any risk of mess that could occur during transport.
